This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting and includes classroom and range time.
Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the benchrest and standing positions; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development.
All materials and range fee are included: students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
$175.00 includes all materials and range fee and is due in full by 10/11/25 (or at time of registration if later than 10/11/25.)
