Get the training you need to apply for your Concealed Handgun Permit in Colorado. 

This class meets the state requirements and includes:

• Knowledge and safe handling of firearms and ammunition.
• Safe storage of firearms and child safety.
• Safe shooting fundamentals.
• Federal and state laws pertaining to the lawful purchase, ownership, transportation, use, and possession of firearms.
• State law pertaining to the use of deadly force for self-defense.
• Best practices for safely interacting with law enforcement personnel who are responding to an emergency; and
• Techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to manage a violent confrontation, including conflict resolution and judgmental use of lethal force.

Students must achieve a passing score on both a written open-book exam and a live-fire shooting qualification on the range.

 

Students need to bring:

·         Range fee of $20 (cash or Venmo accepted)

·         Handgun in good working condition (any caliber)

·         Good quality ammunition (minimum of 50 rounds)
(Common calibers of ammunition can be purchased at Great Guns)

·         Eye and ear protection

·         Handguns available for rent for $20/person
